Are you on our radar?
Is social media part of your everyday life, and do you know what’s currently working on these platforms and what truly resonates with people?

Do you think in terms of formats and develop ideas and content strategies based on topics?
Do you see AI as a natural tool, try out new possibilities, and apply them effectively in your work?

Social Media - Strategy, Content & Audience (w/m/d)
(f/m/d)
Weather is more
At WetterOnline, around 160 employees worldwide not only provide exceptionally accurate weather forecasts but also foster an excellent work environment.
On social media, we reach people with relevant weather topics—internationally, across various platforms, and with new content every day. With us, you’ll take on technical responsibility for social media, further develop our channels and formats, and work closely with our editorial team.
You’ll work in a hybrid model and be on-site with us in Bonn at least three days a week.
To be successful with us, you’ll need:
Several years of experience in the social media field and a willingness to take on more professional responsibility.
An instinct for which trends and formats suit our platforms and what truly resonates with our communities.
Experience in developing, implementing, and refining your own formats and content ideas.
Strategic thinking, paired with a willingness to make decisions, stand by them, and take a hands-on approach to implementation
Business-level proficiency in German and English. Experience with international or multilingual contexts, as well as with news and live topics, is a plus but not a requirement.
Here`s what you can expect from us:
Professional responsibility for the direction, editorial planning, and further development of our social media channels.
Close collaboration with our editorial team to translate weather conditions and current topics into compelling social media content.
Producing your own content when timeliness, speed, or a good idea calls for it.
Professional coordination of internal and external stakeholders—such as content creators and agencies—to ensure consistent quality.
Analyzing the performance of our content and deriving concrete next steps.
Important for us: You don’t need to be a meteorologist. Our editorial team provides the technical context—you know how to turn that into social media content that works on the respective platforms.
What we offer:
Interdisciplinary collaboration: Be part of cross-functional projects and work closely with colleagues from Development, Product, Marketing, and other teams.
Innovation and freedom to shape things: Bring in your ideas and actively help shape modern technologies.
Flexibility that fits your life: Whether in the office, remote, or hybrid – we make sure your job works in harmony with your daily life, your needs, and your current life stage.
