Machine Learning Engineer

(f/m/d)

As a Machine Learning Engineer (f/m/d), you’ll use your know-how to ensure the effective application of ML methods in object detection, image generation, and segmentation of diverse weather data. Whether at one of our four locations – Bonn, Bornheim, Coventry, or Miami – or remotely by arrangement: we look forward to your support!

To be successful with us, you’ll need:

  • A degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field of study.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with efficient processing of large datasets.

  • Experience in designing and training ML models, particularly in the field of computer vision.

  • An understanding of physical principles and an interest in data-based modeling.

  • Ideally, basic knowledge of C++ and initial experience in high-performance computing.

Your development environment:

  • Operating system: Ubuntu Linux with our own build system

  • Development tools: Jupyter Notebook/JupyterLab, VS Code

  • Technologies/frameworks: Python, PyTorch, NumPy, OpenCV, C++, OpenMP

  • Version control: Git/GitLab
